Microsoft Employees Disrupt Wii U Best Buy EventsRemember how Nintendo was showcasing some of their E3 games at participating Best Buy stores around the country? Well, apparently Microsoft employees have been hired to go to these events and preach about the Xbox One and make comments like "why would you buy a outdated Wii U when the Xbox One is right around the corner?"
However, the employees aren't getting what they hoped for. Most customers just start bashing the Xbox One in response. Seriously, Microsoft, the people attending these Best Buy Wii U events are people who are intimately familiar with the crap you pulled at E3. They ain't takin' your shit.
At first I thought this might just be a case of one really loyal Microsoft employee taking matters into his own hands (especially since the original source was /v/), but reports have come in from numerous Best Buy's around the country that indicate many Microsoft employees have ambushed the demo lines trying to persuade people to switch to the Xbox One.

The Used Game ParadigmOver the course of this past generation I've been watching the video game market react to the way it's been forced to deal with increasing changes. I've come out against used game sales and even written a journal about boycotting GameStop because (like most people at the time) I believed they were the root cause of all the problems the video game industry has. But that's something I don't believe now as intently as i did then. From where I sit, piracy and used games sales are a problem, but not in the way game companies want us to believe that they are.
Used games are a good thing for consumers. We get to try games out, and if we don't like what we see or finish it early, we trade it in and try another title instead. It's a very good system for us since video game rentals are much harder to come by. Most video rental stores in America have gone extinct and outside specific Red Box Kiosks there aren't a lot of places for consumers to rent video games. The exception, of course, being thr
Please Pants Responsibly (Paper Notebooks FTW)

There are two ways to write a novel.  Plotting (you make an outline, a plan, a roadmap if you will, and then you sit down and write it) and pantsing (you write "by the seat of your pants, throwing caution to the wind).  So when I get asked if I'm a plotter or a pantser, I'm all like er, uh, hold on, let me?  Pantser?  I think?  But I kind of, um, do planny things?
And it gets kind of awkward because in these inarticulate moments I have managed to confuse everyone including myself. And probably spilled a drink.
In recent discussions, however, I've had a bit of a revelation, silly as it is. I've realized that I -- like many writers -- am a plotter/pantser hybrid.  And perhaps what I'm doing is something we could call Pantsing Responsibly.  And, maybe, just maybe, I could share some of my responsible pantsing tips with other writers. Starting with paper notebooks.

SPIKE updatesJust thought I'd share with you guys some updates on the progress of finishing my "SPIKE" novel.
A lot of people have asked me how it's going, when it will be published and stuff. I really appreciate getting asked these things because it shows that people are actually interested in my writings, and that it just such a great feeling :aww:

So I've had a week off from work after a long crunch stint, and I thought I'd take this opportunity to update my profile here. It didn't take me long before I was running into brick walls of," what's your favorite book", or," what your favorite music". If I hadn't seen so many people answering these questions I would've asked," do people actually will answer these questions?!?" I don't know how anyone that has lived over two decades can answer these questions with a single answer. And I myself am a bit long in the tooth. So in lieu of saying things like,"… Everything but rap, and country", which is not entirely accurate as well because I hate a lot of pop, rock, etc., as well as many specific entries in various musicians catalogs, for instance most of the catalog of the Rolling Stones, after Sticky Fingers. So, I'm just going to leave that stuff blank in passive aggressive protest.

Whats your favorite color?!?
haha well I guess its more like asking about "whats your favorite stuff?"
Is there only room for 1 of each? I just take it as naming out some of
my favorites. Sometimes I do and sometimes I dont. What else is new with you?
I work at art center now. Im a supervisor in the prop room. I make about a third
of what i used to make. I guess I should've gotten into 3D and videogame design?!
Anyhow I hope all is well with you and maybe some day you'll see this since I know
youre not online much
